Reading has always been a large part of my life, even when I was an ickle little boy (yeah right) with not the faintest clue of how to read. During this period (about five years) I was read to by my Mum just before I went to bed and as a treat. With this pre knowledge of words and literature when I went to school and started to focus on learning how to read I picked it up fairly quickly and had learnt the basics in a a short period, by the time I was six/seven, I had read my first real 'novel' , 'Danny, Champion Of The World' - about 200 pages, by the time I was about seven. I soon learnt to get the advanced side of reading and before long I was a 'bookworm' and couldn't stop reading. This all continued until I was around 9 when I got my first PC and before long I was a dedicated computer games player and this resulted in a lack of time for reading. I started reading heavily a few years back, roughly when I was thirteen (coincedentally about the time I met my friend Ric), as he introduced me into reading some excellent novels, mainly by David Eddings, and slowly I began reading a helluva lot more. My reading has steadily grown until I was able to read 'The Tamuli' - roughly 1400 pages in about a week. After this I have steadily acquired a bookshelf which then grew into a bookcase and now is overflowing with books, never mind, on to the writing.
I have, over the last few weeks, begun to write novels/short stories of my own, hence the title of this page. My novels are in the grain of David Eddings/Robin Hobb fantasy grain and so far I have written the first chapter of my first book, which I will put on another page for your perusement.
